What is Covid-19?

  • Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) results from infection with novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and manifests as respiratory illness in infected individuals.

  • COVID-19 is typically spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. When these droplets are inhaled and deposited onto mucous membranes, other individuals become infected. COVID-19 can be spread whether an individual is symptomatic or asymptomatic which is why it is important to continue social distancing and mask wearing.

  • The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are: Fever, cough, headache, fatigue, muscle or body aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nausea or diarrhea.

  • COVID-19 can result in severe complications including: respiratory failure, organ damage, and death.

Which vaccines are WellPharma carrying?

WellPharma Pharmacy currently carries Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. As of December 17, 2021 the CDC recommends the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine as a preference to the Janssen (J&J) vaccine.  Click here to read the statement from the CDC.
